Sisu

Grit, tenacity, resilience, guts - “sisu” is the Finnish art of courage. We couldn’t think of a floor more fitting of that name than this soft blonde, herringbone white oak. Sisu puts the strength in your hands to create a timeless herringbone floor. Gone are the days of costly, traditional sand and finish installation processes. Our left and right planks fit together simply, resulting in an instantly smooth, table-top flat, bevel-free surface.

While the dynamic pattern brings movement to your space, Sisu is balanced by its neutral tones and minimal variations. It’s a modern-classic statement with a touch of boldness.

Feature herringbone flooring in select areas of your home by pairing Sisu with Fika: a straight, wide plank option. Its identical stain color allows for subtle transitions between the two, so you can play with pattern in certain rooms or create a herringbone inlay. Keep in mind that Sisu is thinner than Fika, so the subfloor will need to be built up under Sisu or a transition needs to be added between the two.

As seen on HGTV's Building Roots (Season 2, Episode 7).

*For glue-down installation only.
